The chain

Our Metal Workshop Services, Stage by Stage

Five of our eight services are consecutive stages of making one piece: draw it, cut it, form it, weld it, finish it.

Most metalwork fails at a handover, not at a joint. A part that travels between a draughtsman, a cutter, a fabricator and a paint shop picks up a new tolerance and a new excuse at every stop. Here the stages sit in one building, so you can buy one of them or all five.

You can start at any stage. There is no need to begin at 01.

Why one workshop

Why Choose Accents & Art for Metalwork in Accra

Keeping every stage in one building removes the handovers where tolerance, responsibility and time are usually lost.

Nothing changes hands

A part that visits four suppliers collects four tolerances and four opinions about whose fault the gap is. Keeping the chain in one building is the least glamorous advantage here and the one that shows up in the finished work.

Sculpture and structure

The same workshop that fabricates load-carrying staircases also makes public sculpture. That is unusual, and it is why a railing here can carry a designed idea instead of a catalogue profile.

Drawn before it is made

Every piece exists as a dimensioned drawing you have approved before any metal is cut. Moving a line costs nothing. Moving a weld costs a week.

Common questions

Metal Workshop Services FAQs

A job can run through all five fabrication stages or stop at any one of them, and you are quoted for only the stages you use.

A whole job, and that is the reason the services are arranged this way. A part can arrive as a sketch, be drawn, cut, formed, welded and finished without leaving Bubiashie, which removes four handovers and the arguments that come with them. It can also come in at any single stage: plenty of work here is one operation on somebody else's components.

If you know what the piece is and roughly what it looks like, start with Welding and Fabrication. If it only exists as an idea or a photograph, start with Prototype, Design and CAD, because a drawing is what every later stage works from. If you already own the piece and want it saved rather than replaced, start with Refurbishment.

Both, and the difference is what you send us. A homeowner usually sends photographs and an opening size. A specifier usually sends a CAD drawing or a schedule and needs a fabrication drawing, a materials list and a programme back. The workshop is the same; the paperwork either side of it is not.

The workshop is in Bubiashie, Accra, and installation covers Greater Accra. Coverage beyond Greater Accra is still to be confirmed. Send the site address with your enquiry and it will be answered before anything is quoted.
