From Concept to Prototype with Precision CAD Design

Turn a sketch, idea or technical requirement into an accurate 3D model and a physical prototype, ready for fabrication.

Service Overview

Every fabricated piece Accents & Arts produces starts life as a design file. Our CAD team works with architects, product developers, interior designers and businesses to convert an idea, whether that is a rough sketch, a written brief or a set of site measurements, into an accurate, buildable 3D model before any material is cut or welded.

The common pain point for clients approaching a fabrication project is uncertainty: will the finished piece actually match what they imagined, and will it fit the space or function it needs to serve? CAD design closes that gap. By modelling the piece first, checking proportions, materials and mechanisms on screen, and producing a sample or prototype where needed, we reduce costly surprises later in production.

This service is used both as a standalone design offering, for clients who need drawings for their own contractors or manufacturers, and as the first stage of a full Accents & Arts fabrication project.

Key Capabilities & Applications

Our Process

01

Consultation & Brief

We capture your concept, requirements and any existing sketches or reference material.

02

CAD Design & Technical Specification

Our designers build a detailed 3D model and technical drawing set for your review.

03

Sample or Prototype

Where needed, we produce a physical sample so you can inspect scale, fit and finish before full production.

04

Client Approval & Handover

Once approved, the finalised design moves into fabrication, or is delivered to you as a standalone deliverable.

Why Choose Accents & Arts?

Design and Fabrication Under One Roof

Our CAD team works alongside the welders, CNC operators and finishers who will build the piece, so designs are practical from the outset.

Precision Before Production

Modelling and prototyping catch fit and proportion issues on screen or in sample form, not after the metal has been cut.

Creative and Technical Range

From decorative art pieces to structural and industrial components, our design team works across both artistic and engineering briefs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cost depends on the complexity of the design, the number of revisions and whether a physical prototype is required. Share your brief for a free quote.

Prototype cost varies with material, size and method (3D printing versus a fabricated sample). Contact us with your specifications for an accurate estimate.

Start with a consultation describing the concept and its intended use. Our team will produce a CAD model, then a physical sample or prototype for your review before full production begins.

We can generally work from sketches, photos or existing files (such as STL or OBJ for 3D printing). If you are unsure what you have, send what you have and we will advise.
